Fersa was established in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1941 by Mr. Jules Samuel who was born in Belgium in 1901. Mr. Samuel continued a long tradition of handcrafted decorative hardware made in France by establishing a factory in Buenos Aires when imports from Europe were disrupted by World War II. From the very beginning, the company was devoted to developing new and innovative products following the finest European design and traditions ensured by Italian and Spanish metal artisans, who migrated to Argentina since the beginning of last century. This history of excellence in both reproducing period hardware and antique decorative faucets using ancient methods (sand cast foundry, metal chiseling and mercury gold plating), and developing new designs of superb quality, has allowed Fersa to hold the leading position within the Latin American market of decorative hardware for almost 60 years.
Along all these years Fersa has completed the most ambitious commissions and served the most demanding clients, among those: US Embassy Residence in Buenos Aires, Supreme Court, Buenos Aires City Hall, Government Palace (Pink House), Nation’s Congress, Nation’s Bank Main Headquarters, Ministry of Economy, Buenos Aires Museum of Decorative Arts, and several of the most important private residences in Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, United States and Canada.
As in the old days Fersa continues to elaborate new designs as well as preserving its traditional period collections. Fersa is constantly growing into the global market reaching different cultures with the same service oriented philosophy, as United States Of America and Saudi Arabia.
Eduardo & Roberto Samuel, 2002
In 1988, in order to satisfy recent trends demanding authentic traditional styles, Fersa began selling its products through decorative hardware showrooms located in the U.S.A. Since then Fersa´s products have been accessible to the many architects and interior designers in search of something special to offer to their clients worldwide. The never ending search for new materials and designs led Roberto and Eduardo Samuel, the second generation, to design a completely new line of decorative faucets and bath fittings, and it is now the perfect timing to introduce decorativefaucets.com, Fersa’s new name for our bath fitting products. Ateliers in Argentina and neighboring countries contributed to this effort with their native stones and lapidary art skills such as: Chile with its lapizlazuli and jasper, Brazil with its rock crystal, amethyst and pink quartz and Argentina with its rodocrosite and agathas.
Engaged in project-by-project manufacturing, Fersa´s decorative hardware and faucets consultants will assist you with the selection, specification, scheduling and coordination of high-end residential and corporate projects.
Fersa´s jealously kept artistic heritage represents the poetry of the creative power, bringing together comfort along with old worlds grand style.
