The history of Teuco, thiry years of success in the world of baths. The history of Teuco originated in the early '70s when Virgilio Guzzini ? following years of experience with Fratelli Guzzini, a company specializing in the production of high quality household articles with pioneering materials such as acrylic - decided to undertake a new enterprise: the production of bathtubs utilizing the very same cutting edge material. The cultural baggage with which Virgilio Guzzini took on this adventure is quite vast and instantly became a concrete reality for the special attention dedicated to design and appearance, to the ergonomic aspects of the products and to technical practicality based on a careful research of materials. The history of Teuco has been enriched by phases of innovation that brought forth awards and patents and that allowed the fame and success of this company, situated in the Marche region, to reach new heights throughout the years. The decade of the '60s is represented by design innovation; the first important recognition, aside from the growing public success, came from the decision of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMa) of New York to display the shower, Doccia Tonda, symbol of purity and perfection, as a representation of Italian style applied to innovative design and technology. In the '80s, efforts focused on the consolidation of supremacy in the sector and a greater concentration on functional research; these endeavors led to the introduction of electronic controls for showers and baths to increase functionality and comfort; within this time frame there was also the introduction of the shower cabin with steam sauna, bringing the benefits of this treatment directly within the home. The '90s were highlighted by the Hydrosonic patent, the first line of baths to associate high frequency ultrasound waves to the classic whirlpool, which acting on a cellular level, provide a deeper level of well-being. Hydrosonic remains today an exclusive Teuco article. The initial years of the new millenium present, on the one hand, the introduction of new features such as aromatherapy for the Teucohydrospa and chromotherapy for the Next showers, allowing the company to expand the concept of daily well-being and certainly making each Teuco product a true experience of pleasure. These years have also brought forth the introduction of the injection moulding system which offers uncountable advantages both on a design level for a freer and more innovative creation, and on an assembly and maintanence level of the products, not to mention the environmental impact; all advantages of the prestigious Next shower cabins. Produced also in these years and within the arena of these experimentations, are Docciavision, the first transparent and colored shower, realized in methacrylate blue and Evolution, the first shower created entirely in crystal, created around the person to provide an exclusive space for well-being. A notable accomplishment, in terms of other recognitions attained throughout the Teuco years, was the Premio ADI award for design, received in 1991 along with the other companies of the group. All the leading innovations and research that bear the Teuco label demonstrate attention, but in particular the technical and qualitative rigor applied in the development of products to satisfy the needs of the single consumers. Thanks to this mission, Teuco has always been able to anticipate and determine the evolution of the market and, with its patents and its singular style, become the authoritative voice in the construction of the bathroom environment. The creation of new lines and products and the conformity of existing ones are dictated by the desire to continuously and more completely satisfy every intimate need of well-being
