Murano is just one of the many islands in the Venice lagoon... But it was on this particular island that long ago the art of glass blowing began. This art made the island famous, and transformed it into the spellbinding place it still is today, one thousand years later. Six hundred years ago, a certain Francesco Seguso, who knew all the secrets of glassblowing, lived on the island of Murano. Francesco Seguso's knowledge and skills had been passed on to him by his father Angelo and this tradition in turn was handed down century after century, up to the present - to Gianluca, Pierpaolo and Gian Andrea Seguso. Together with their father Giampaolo, Gianluca, Pierpaolo and Gian Andrea have a dream: to create glass objects that combine the past with the present; objects that result from traditional skills and today's latest techniques. Original creative proposals in glass that seem to come alive and reflect the distinctive family traditions that began so long ago. All this is what distinguishes the 'Seguso Viro' company.
